Contents insurance

You must be insured to stay with us. You can purchase an appropriate amount of insurance cover alongside your booking. Simply select how much it would cost to replace the value of the items being stored and we’ll add the cost of this insurance cover to your bill.

You must satisfy yourself that the insurance cover provide by us is adequate for your needs. Please review the summary details and policy information provided in the pages below.

If you are providing your own insurance evidence of this must be provided to us prior to you storing your goods. A copy of the insurance certificate must be emailed in to us at kendal@mysecureselfstore.com or brighouse@mysecureselfstore.com depending on which facility you are storing at.

Please check the prohibited goods list in our T&Cs as this sets out the items we are unable to store. Likewise lithium ion batteries must be detached and not connected or on charge.

Prior to you moving in, we do require copies of ID for the customer and anybody else permitted to access your unit. This required photographic ID (such as a driving licence) and a recent utility bill showing the address used on your booking. These must be emailed in to us at kendal@mysecureselfstore.com or brighouse@mysecureselfstore.com (depending on which facility you are storing at) before you start storing with us.

Your goods must be insured before these can be stored with us.

We are unable to store goods with a replacement value of £50,000 or more.

We are unable to accept delivery on your behalf. You must ensure you are present when your goods are stored and removed. 

All storage with My Secure Self Store.com Limited is subject to our T&Cs of storage which are available on this site. All other T&Cs are excluded.

“I used the storage facility for storing furniture and other things between house moves. The facility is very good as the containers are enclosed in a secure building with 24 hours access via key fob. CCTV is present for added security. A trolley is available to help with moving things from outside to the container. Laura was very helpful with arranging my contract and I only had to pay for the time I actually used and wasn't pushed to commit for fixed terms - it was all quite flexible. I will definitely use again if I need storage in the future. ”
